Right before Carlos Santana’s tour in New Zealand and Australia, he spoke with the Australian Associated Press and said that Adele’s 25 deserved the Album of the Year Grammy.

"I think that Adele won because she can sing sing," Santana said. "With all respect to our sister Beyoncé, Beyoncé is very beautiful to look at and it's more like modeling kind of music – music to model a dress – she's not a singer singer, with all respect to her."

Of course, angry members of the Beyhive took to social media to share their two cents.

However, this past Tuesday, the guitarist clarified his recent comments about Beyoncé’s Album of the Year.

“My intent was to congratulate Adele on her amazing night at the Grammies,” Santana wrote on Facebook, adding, “My comment about Beyoncé was regretfully taken out of context.”
