Tasha Frampton y su esposo Ross estuvieron intentando tener hijos durante seis años hasta que se decidió a recurrir a un tratamiento de fertilización in vitro. Pero sus deseos se vieron frustrados cuando le dijeron que estaba demasiado gorda, ya que pesaba 266 libras

And after losing nine stone, Tasha's BMI was finally low enough and she and Ross were referred for one free round of IVF. A pesar de que los médicos le sugirieron que debía de perder peso, Tasha estaba negada porque sabía de otras mujeres más gordas que ella que habían logrado convertirse en madres de manera natural. Lo cierto es que cada organismo es distinto, y en su caso era necesario perder peso.

Según contó al diario británico Mirror, era adicta a la comida chatarra, en especial a McDonalds que comía casi cada día y a la comida china en la que ordenaba un montón de extras. Además dejó de lado las gaseosas, las barras de chocolate y empezó a caminar 45 minutos durante su hora de almuerzo en el trabajo.

Finalmente consiguió llegar a pesar 140 libras y su médico le realizó el tratamiento de fertilización in vitro y a las dos semanas recibió la noticia de que estaba embarazada. 

Ahora es madre de una hermosa niña y tiene hábitos alimenticios más saludables. La comida chatarra en muchas ocasiones es sustituida por pollo con verduras, sopa o atún.
