Jaime Camil, a star with more than 25 years of career

Actor and singer Jaime Camil, one of the most important and influential Latin American artists in the world, with well over 13 million followers across his social media platforms, will make his debut as host of the coveted award show. The Golden Globe and Critics’ Choice awards nominee has starred in a multitude of award-winning films, including “My Boyfriend’s Meds”, “Pulling Strings”, “200 Cartas” and “7 Días”, which earned him Best Supporting Actor at the ACE Awards and the Mexican Film Journalists, respectively.

He starred and was executive producer of the CBS sitcom “Broke”, played Rogelio de la Vega on the CW hit series “Jane the Virgin”, and has voiced many animated projects, including the voice of Papa Julio in the Oscar-winning film “Coco”. He recently appeared in the HBO MAX movie “Kimi” and the Apple TV+ limited musical comedy series “Schmigadoon!” Camil recently completed a Paramount’s film and has an agreement with VIS (a division of Paramount) to develop a variety of film and television projects for Paramount+. As a singer, he has recorded four platinum albums and directed several musicals in Mexico City, including “West Side Story”, “Hook”, “Aladdin” and “The Coming Flood”, among others.

Kate del Castillo, the “Queen” of the stage

Actress, producer, activist, and entrepreneur Kate del Castillo, who will soon star in the third season of Telemundo’s #1 super series “La Reina del Sur 3”, will host the gala for a second time. Del Castillo is one of the world’s most prominent international actresses thanks to her work in highly influential series and films. She captured audiences in “Bajo La Misma Luna”, which is still among the top 10 highest-grossing Spanish-language films in U.S. history. She has also enjoyed massive hits on Netflix, first as the star and co-producer of two seasons of the original series, “Ingobernable”, and in the acclaimed three-part documentary “The day I met El Chapo”, which she also co-produced, about her infamous meeting with Sean Penn and the notorious fugitive drug lord.

But without a doubt, her starring role as Teresa Mendoza in “La Reina Del Sur” has been a major career highlight. “La Reina Del Sur 2” broke ratings records on Telemundo and now, along with “La Reina Del Sur 1,” they are two of the most watched Spanish-language series on Netflix. “La Reina Del Sur 3” is close to premiering on Telemundo. She also played a leading role in the drama series “’Til Jail Do Us Part”, currently streaming on Peacock. Del Castillo also starred in the blockbuster “Bad Boys for Life”, alongside Will Smith and Martin Lawrence, cementing the actress as a force to be reckoned with in Hollywood. In 2019 she also started her all female production company, Cholawood Productions, which recently wrapped production on their first limited series. The actress is also an outspoken humanitarian activist. She was appointed as an Ambassador for the Mexican Human Rights Commission to help combat human trafficking and is a spokesperson for PETA. Del Castillo will soon star in the Ace Entertainment film “A Cuban Girl’s Guide to Tea and Tomorrow.”
