2021 Latin Billboard Music Awards: Everything You Need To Know - Red Carpet and Much More

Latin music fans will enjoy complete coverage around the 2021 Billboard Latin Music Awards, with three television specials, live streams, and social media coverage bringing audiences a fully immersive experience that encompasses every detail of the highly-anticipated awards show.

The special coverage will include:

Detrás de la Fama on Saturday, September 18 at 6:55pm ET will feature in-depth interviews with Billboard Latin Music Awards celebrities.

Journalist Jessica Carrillo, host of "Al Rojo Vivo," will dive into "Detrás de la Fama" (Behind the Fame) of major artists, including Paquita la del Barrio, winner of the Billboard Lifetime Achievement Award, and international superstars Camila Cabello and Juanes, who will all perform during the awards. These Latin stars will share their successes, challenges and reveal some of their personal life stories.

"La Alfombra de los Premios Billboard" will broadcast live on Thursday, September 23 at 7pm ET/6c and will showcase the glamorous arrival of the stars on the red-carpet, as they flaunt looks from the hottest designers and reveal their latest projects.

The special will be hosted by Jessica Carrillo (Al Rojo Vivo), Rodner Figueroa (Al Rojo Vivo), Jorge Bernal (Suelta la Sopa), Ana Jurka (En Casa con Telemundo, Titulares y Más) and Mark Tacher (Malverde: El Santo Patrón, La Reina del Sur).

 Telemundo "El PreShow" will livestream on Thursday, September 23 at 7pm ET from the red carpet, and will be hosted by Alix Aspe and Alfredo Lomeli. The show can be streamed via Telemundo.com, Facebook, Twitter, Youtube and the Telemundo App.

Premios Billboard: Acceso VIP will broadcast on Thursday, September 23, following the awards ceremony at 11:35pm ET / 10:35c. The special will take viewers on a behind-the-scenes journey of the awards show, featuring the stars before and after they hit the stage. The special will be hosted by Ana Jurka (En Casa con Telemundo, Titulares y Más), Rodner Figueroa (Al Rojo Vivo) and Alix Aspe (Latinx Now!).

Telemundo "El Post Show" will stream one day later, on Friday, September 24 at 5pm ET on Telemundo.com, featuring the stars backstage. 

Leading up to the awards show, Telemundo will offer its Top of the Latin Charts playlist on Apple Music, created especially to celebrate the music and finalists of the 2021 Billboard Latin Music Awards. Telemundo will also offer behind-the-scenes activations and videos from rehearsals and the awards show across all major social platforms, including GIF filters and stickers, Tik Tok and IG videos, as well as InstaLives and takeovers.

Finally, streaming platform Peacock will feature a playlist during rehearsals leading up to the event. It will present behind-the-scenes content on the days leading to the show, and the day after will present the show in its entirety, along with coverage of the most electrifying performances.

The highly anticipated awards ceremony will feature extraordinary musical performances from the following stars: Ana Bárbara, Banda MS de Sergio Lizárraga, Camila Cabello, Carlos Rivera, Carlos Vives, Christian Nodal, Daddy Yankee, Guadalupe Pineda, Jhay Cortez, Joss Favela, Juanes, Karol G, Lucy Vives, Maná, Marc Anthony, Mau y Ricky, Myke Towers, Natti Natasha, Nicky Jam, Prince Royce, Paquita la del Barrio, Rauw Alejandro, Reik, Rosalía, and Yuri.

The Billboard Latin Music Awards will broadcast live on Telemundo beginning at 7pm/6c with the traditional red carpet arrival special "La Alfombra de los Premios Billboard", followed by the awards show at 8pm/7c.

The music special will also broadcast simultaneously on Spanish entertainment cable network, Universo and throughout Latin America and the Caribbean on Telemundo Internacional.

The awards will coincide with Billboard Latin Music Week, which returns to Miami from September 20-25, 2021, and will host live conversations and performances with superstars like Karol G, Daddy Yankee, Nicky Jam and many more.
