Telemundo announced today the star-studded lineup for the sixth edition of the Latin American Music Awards (Latin AMAs) 2021.
The list is comprised of a mix of internationally acclaimed stars and an exceptional group of young artists. Anitta, Carrie Underwood, Juanes, Manuel Turizo, Pitbull, Ricky Martin, Wisin, Yandel, Ziggy Marley, Alaina Castillo, Cami, Carlos Rivera, Juhn, Mariah Angeliq, Natanael Cano, Sofía Reyes, and Yendry join previously announced performers including Ana Barbara, Banda MS de Sergio Lizárraga, Camilo, Carlos Vives, David Bisbal, Eslabon Armado, Gerardo Ortiz, José Luis Rodríguez "El Puma", Joss Favela, Karol G, Los Dos Carnales, Maluma, Myke Towers, Nicky Jam, Ozuna, and Piso 21.
Telemundo will roll out the red carpet to welcome these artists who will come together to perform LIVE on Thursday, April 15 starting at 7pm/6c at the BB&T Center in Sunrise, Florida.
The Latin AMAs stage will light up with performances by world-renowned stars who will present extraordinary musical numbers created exclusively for this show. Puerto Rican superstar Ricky Martin, nominated for Favorite Artist–Pop and Favorite Song-Pop, is preparing an exciting collaboration with Carlos Vives; while global icon Pitbull will also arrive at the awards show with a special performance.
Colombian singer-songwriter Juanes, nominated in the new category of Favorite Virtual Concert, will perform a television premiere of the first single from his new album, while reggae star Ziggy Marley will also premiere a song with Maluma.
One of the most anticipated performances of the evening will be seven-time Grammy Award-winner Carrie Underwood and Spanish superstar David Bisbal, both making their Latin AMA premiere. Bisbal and Underwood will perform their bilingual duet “Tears of Gold” for the first time on television and are nominated for Favorite Video.
The urban music genre will be well represented by celebrated Puerto Rican reggaeton stars Wisin and Yandel, both Latin AMA nominees, as well as Colombia's Manuel Turizo, and new Puerto Rican artist Juhn, who will sing "Bandido" with Myke Towers.
Rounding up the lineup is regional Mexican urban sensation Natanael Cano, nominated for five Latin AMAs, and Carlos Rivera, who joins Banda MS de Sergio Lizárraga in a world premiere.
Female voices will be led by Brazilian global star Anitta, who is nominated for Favorite Artist – Female and Social Artist of the Year, along with Mexican artist Sofia Reyes, who will be part of a special performance.
In addition, the Latin AMAs will highlight up-and-coming stars representing the next generation of Latin voices including Mexican American performer Alaina Castillo, Chilean artist Cami, Dominican singer Yendry and up and coming artist Mariah Angeliq, who will sing alongside renowned star Karol G.
