19-year-old rising superstar Lunay took home his first Latin AMAs award for New Artist of the Year. This category is like no other because you can only be nominated as ‘New Artist’ once in your whole career.

Within less than two years in the music industry, Lunay has done what most artists dream about such as collaborating with the best rappers in the game including Daddy Yankee, Ozuna, Bad Bunny and Anuel AA who he thanked while accepting the award.

Early in September, Lunay was named Apple Music’s Up Next Artist. Up to date, Lunay is the second latin artist to be featured in “Up Next” following the Latin trap King, Bad Bunny.

So far, the Puerto Rican urban singer has one Billboard Hot 100 entry after "Soltera," was released. He also has two Hot Latin Songs entries; "Soltera" and "Luz Apaga" with Ozuna, Rauw Alejandro and Lyanno.

Could Lunay become the next global sensation?
