Marc Anthony to Receive the International Artist Award of Excellence at the 2019 Latin AMAs
Telemundo announced today that Marc Anthony will receive the Latin AMA International Artist Award of Excellence given for the first time ever at the “Latin American Music Awards” (Latin AMAs). “This special award is given to artists that turn the world around with their greatness, crossing over language, race or religion. Their nationality has no borders; they stand for peace, and their songs reverberate as musical anthems.”
That’s not all. In addition to receiving the special award, the Puerto Rican singer will perform live. The Latin AMAs is set to air live from the prestigious Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, California, on Thursday, October 17, 2019 at 8pm/7c, preceded by the one-hour carpet pre-show “La Alfombra de Latin AMAs” at 7pm/6c. You can purchase tickets for the awards show via Ticketmaster and the Dolby Theatre box office.
Marc Anthony is one of the most influential artists of his time, and a true ambassador of Latin culture and music. Anthony launched his solo career in 1988 with his debut album, "Rebel". Up to date, the singer, actor and producer has received countless gold and platinum awards from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), with more than 31 hits on the Billboard charts and over 7.4 billion views on Youtube.

This year, the “Esta Rico” singer is nominated in 4 categories; Favorite Artist, Favorite Album - Tropical (for OPUS), Favorite Song – Tropical (for “Adicto” with Prince Royce), and Favorite Tour.
