Get Ready Because Your 2019 Latin AMAs Hosts Are Eugenio Derbez and Jacky Bracamontes
With exactly 28 days to go until the Latin American Music Awards touch down in Hollywood CA, we have another BIG and EXCITING announcement coming your way.
For the first time ever, the internationally acclaimed comedian, actor and producer Eugenio Derbez and actress and hostess Jacky Bracamontes, will host the 2019 Latin AMAs on Telemundo.
The show is set to air live on Thursday, October 17, 2019 at 8pm/7c, preceded by the one-hour carpet pre-show “La Alfombra de Latin AMAs” at 7pm/6c.
Derbez and Bracamontes will bring the Latin AMAs awards ceremony to life with their talent and will showcase performances by artists in English and Spanish.
Born in Mexico, Derbez is a film and television actor, writer, director and producer who is known as one of the most influential creative forces in Latin America and one of the most celebrated actors in the U.S. Latino community.
Derbez has landed lead roles on film productions like "Instructions Not Included," and the remake of the romantic classic “Overboard” along with Anna Faris which, helped his career skyrocket to international stardom in a very short period of time.
According to Variety Magazine, Derbez is the most influential Hispanic man in entertainment, and has been considered the #1 Influencer on Mexican social networks during the last two years.
Previously, Derbez produced and directed “How to be a Latin Lover”, a successful comedy starring Salma Hayek, Rob Lowe, Kristen Bell, and Raquell Welch. Currently, the film is being featured in many countries around the world and a television series about the story is on the works.
Derbez’s most recent projects; Paramount's “Dora and the Lost City of Gold” starring Eva Longoria, Michael Peña, and Isabela Moner and Sony’s “The Angry Birds Movie” 2, alongside with Jason Sudeikis, Bill Hader and Peter Dinklage can now be seen in theatres.
Additionally, starting October 18th, Eugenio Derbez and his entire family will embark an exotic adventure through Morocco on his upcoming show “De Viaje Con Los Derbez” (Derbez Family Vacation). The show is Pantaya’s first unscripted original series and will also air internationally on Amazon Prime Video.
Mexican star, Jacky Bracamontes is one of the most prominent celebrities in Latin America. So far, she has hosted some of the most popular shows in Spanish-language televisión.
Last year, Bracamontes joined Telemundo as the host of sports and entertainment show "Viva el Mundial y Más" (Long Live the World Cup and More) where she offered coverage of everything related to the 2018 Russia FIFA World Cup™.
This year, the former beauty queen returned to the Telemundo screen to host “La Voz,” the first U.S. Spanish-language version of the NBC hit show, “The Voice.”
This year, the Latin AMAs stage will shine with the star-studded lineup of performers at the Latin AMAs which includes Ozuna, Wisin & Yandel, Becky G, CNCO, Farruko, Gente de Zona, Christian Nodal, Zion y Lennox, Abraham Mateo, Emilia Mernes, Sofía Reyes, Lupita Infante and Beret.
