Latin AMAs 2019: Get to Know Your New Artist of the Year Noms
The excitement is starting to kick in for real because the 2019 Latin American Music Awards (Latin AMAs) are approaching. This year six nominees are vying for the title of New Artist of the Year.
This is one of the most important categories because an artist can only get nominated once for New Artist of the Year. To give you an idea, past winners in the category include J Balvin, Ozuna, CNCO, Sebastian Yatra.

- If you don’t know who she is by now then you must living under a rock. “La Rosalía” is a Spanish singer who has captivated the world with her flamenco and pop style. Some of her most popular songs are “Con Altura” featuring El Guincho and J Balvin, “Aute Cuture” and her latest single, “Yo x Tu, Tu x Mi” featuring Latin trap star Ozuna.
Lu lu Lunay has become urbano’s sensation. At just 18 years of age, the Puerto Rican singer has collaborated with some of the best artists in the industry such as Daddy Yankee, Bad Bunny, Ozuna, and Anuel AA just to name a few.
You’ve probably heard the phrase “everybody go to the discotek” in the background of many hit songs such as “Otro Trago”. Well, Darell is the famous guy behind that phrase. His latest song is a collaboration with Argentine, ex Rombai, Emilia Mernes “No Soy Yo.”
The Panamanian singer is known for his soothing vocals which have grabbed the attention of big artist such as Maluma and Nicky Jam, Ozuna and Anuel AA.

2019 has been a big year for Cortez. The reggaeton singer went from working behind the scenes and writing Bad Bunny and J Balvin’s verse on “I Like It” to featuring both artists on his most popular song “No Me Conoce Remix.” To date, Cortez’s song has over 600 million views on Youtube.
Is a rapper who has peaked in Argentinian charts and has become known as the “Good Guy” of trap music. Londra’s collaboration with Becky G, “Cuando Te Besé” made it on the Billboard’s Hot Latin Songs.
