TELEMUNDO DEPORTES JOINS NBC SPORTS & PREMIER LEAGUE IN MIAMI BEACH FOR “PREMIER LEAGUE MORNINGS LIVE” FAN FESTIVAL DEC. 14-15
MIAMI – December 9, 2019 – Telemundo Deportes, the exclusive Spanish-language home of Premier League, joins NBC Sports and the Premier League for the “Premier League Mornings Live” fan festival, taking place in Miami Beach on December 14-15. The two-day fan festival will be held at Miami Beach’s historic Clevelander South Beach Hotel, presenting live action of nine matches, including Telemundo and Universo’s broadcasts.
Telemundo Deportes’ Andres Cantor, Manuel Sol and Copan Alvarez will broadcast La Liga Premier Extra, Premier League’s pre-game coverage, from the event alongside special guest former Colombian National Team member Juan Pablo Angel, who also played for Aston Villa, beginning at 7 a.m. ET Saturday, December 14 and 8:30 a.m. ET on Sunday, December 15. They join NBC Sports’ studio team of host Rebecca Lowe and analysts Robbie Earle, Kyle Martino, Robbie Mustoe and several Premier League special guests who will make appearances throughout the weekend.
As part of Sunday’s activities, Cantor and Sol will call the Arsenal vs. Manchester City match from the Festival kicking off at 11:30 a.m., giving fans at the event a unique behind-the-scenes look at how Telemundo Deportes’ team call a soccer match.
In addition, Titulares y Más’ co-host Ana Jurka will be live at the Fan Fest presenting live interactions with fans, interviews with Premier League’s guests and producing special content for TYM and Telemundo Deportes’ digital platforms. Sammy Sadovnik, Carlos Hermosillo and Eduardo Biscayart will host coverage and call game action from Telemundo Center.
Throughout the weekend, NBC Sports and Telemundo Deportes’ on-air personalities will be crossing over between networks presenting segments in English and Spanish and providing viewers with a full experience of how Premier League is covered by both networks.
“We are excited to welcome the ‘Premier League Mornings Fan Festival’ to Miami” said Eli Velazquez, Executive Vice President of Sports Content, Telemundo Deportes. “We are looking forward to having our biggest presence yet at the Fan Fest, sharing the stage with NBC Sports, and bringing our coverage of the league closer to the local fans with a full weekend of activities and great matches.”
This is the first time that the event is held in Miami and it will be the second of three Premier League Mornings Live supporter events that NBC Sports and the Premier League have presented this season, following October’s event in Austin, Texas. This follows three spirited fan festivals (New York, Washington D.C. and Boston) during the 2018-19 Premier League season. More than 25,000 soccer fans in the U.S. have attended Premier League Mornings Live events so far.
