San Juan, PR — June 15, 2022 — Telemundo announced today that international acting and television stars Omar Chaparro, Zuleyka Rivera, and Carmen Villalobos, will share the task of hosting the most important night in Latin urban music, the “Premios Tu Musica Urbano” 2022. They will be accompanied by a talented group of artists who join the celebration as award presenters, including Adamari López, Alicia Machado, Alix Aspe, Andrea Meza, Carlos Adyan, Chesca, Dalex, DJ Luian, El Alfa, Frederik Oldenburg, Mariah Angeliq, Mariana Seoane, Ninel Conde, and Pedro Capó. The much-anticipated awards show, which celebrates the rhythm that is moving the world, will broadcast live for the first time on Telemundo on Thursday, June 23 starting at 7pm/6c, from San Juan, Puerto Rico. The awards ceremony will be preceded by the red carpet special “La Alfombra de Premios Tu Música Urbano” on Telemundo and “El PreShow” through digital platforms, which will feature the glamorous and colorful images from the red carpet that will showcase a unique display of fresh, bold, urban fashion by the industry’s most influential icons. “La Alfombra Roja de PTMU” will be hosted by Mariana Seoane (Así Se Baila), Jorge Bernal (La Casa de los Famosos: Sin Censura), Gil Marie Lopez (Día a Día), Rodner Figueroa (Al Rojo Vivo), Alix Aspe (La Mesa Caliente), and Carlos Adyan (En Casa con Telemundo); while “The Preshow” will be hosted by Andrea Meza (En Casa con Telemundo).

Omar Chaparro is a well-known and talented Mexican film and television actor, considered an entertainment mogul in Mexico and in the U.S. Hispanic market. On television he has worked in productions such as Televisa’s “¿Quién Es La Máscara,” and the Netflix show, “Nailed it! Mexico,” which has enjoyed three seasons under his helm. He has participated in films such as “Pokemon, Detective Pikachu,” “Stuck” and “Show Dogs,” as well as in “Compadres,” “Como Caído Del Cielo,” “Tod@s Caen,” “No Manches Frida,” and its sequel “No Manches Frida 2,” in “Y Cómo Es Él?” and the upcoming productions “7th and Union” and “The Wingwalker.” The success of his films makes him part of the new wave of Latinos who are changing the Hollywood panorama. His over 30 million followers on social media are a testament to his great on-screen personality. In 2017, Omar sold out over 50 U.S. cities with his “Unstoppable” show, including the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles.

Zuleyka Rivera is a renowned Puerto Rican actress, singer, model, television host and dancer, winner of the titles of Miss Universe Puerto Rico 2006 and Miss Universe 2006. She began her career at the age of 14 in professional modeling and parading on the catwalks of major designers, which led her to make her dream of becoming first Miss Puerto Rico and then Miss Universe a reality. She debuted as a soap opera actress in Telemundo’s “Dame Chocolate” in 2007 and since then she has participated in “Alguien Te Mira” (2010), “Aurora” (2010-2011), “Rosario” (2013), “Cosita Linda” (2014) and “El Dragón” (2019). On the big screen, she participated in the films “Qué Despelote” (2010) and “Runner Runner” (2013). She also hosted Telemundo’s morning show “Un Nuevo Día” for several years, as well as the network’s competition show “El Domo del Dinero.”

Carmen Villalobos, who returns for the third time (2019 and 2020) to host the “Premios Tu Música Urbano,” is undoubtedly one of today’s most outstanding Latin American personalities. The Colombian actress leapt to international stardom in 2008 with her first starring role in the Telemundo series “Sin Senos No Hay Paraíso” as the unforgettable Catalina Santana. She has participated in more than 10 productions including novelas and series, such as “Niños Ricos, Pobres Padres,” “Mi Corazón Insiste,” “Made In Cartagena” and the first three seasons of super series “El Señor de los Cielos.” In 2017 she returned to “Sin Senos Sí Hay Paraíso,” and in 2019, after three seasons, the saga closed its successful cycle with “El Final del Paraíso.” Carmen’s versatility has no limits, and in 2018 she debuted her first starring role in the Dominican film “El Fantasma de mi Novia” and has hosted the “Premios Tu Mundo” for Telemundo, “Premios TV y Novelas Colombia” and “Premios Latinoamérica Verde.” A great influencer on social media, with over 35 million followers, she made an impact with her first antagonistic role as Lucia Santiesteban in the 2021 version of “Café con Aroma de Mujer”, and is now finishing filming “Hasta Que La Plata Nos Separe,” currently airing on Telemundo, where she plays the lead character of Alejandra Maldonado, her first role in a series with a comedic touch.
