Telemundo’s Morning Show, ‘Hoy Dia,’ Kicks Off: Find Out Who the New Hosts Will Be

Telemundo’s morning show, Hoy Día, begins a new phase filled with more variety and entertainment, together with the latest news, starting this Monday, December 5 at 7am/6c. The three-hour live daytime weekday program will welcome new hosts who will offer a fresh and entertaining format to start the day, including Penélope Menchaca, famous influencer Lissette “Chiky BombomEduardo and Andrea Meza, alongside Adamari López.

“Our commitment is to always serve our viewers with the content they want, now with a more entertaining and dynamic format to start their days that will also highlight the top news stories of the moment,” stated Ronald Day, President of Entertainment and Content for Telemundo. “We are pleased to have this group of outstanding TV personalities as hosts to bring a dose of energy and liveliness for our viewers each morning.”   

The show will be hosted by:

Penélope Menchaca — This renowned Hispanic TV personality returns to Telemundo, where she first ventured into U.S. Spanish-language TV with the popular dating show, 12 Corazones. Throughout her successful career, she has hosted numerous TV productions such as Venga la Alegría and El Poder del Amor, among others. She started in the world of arts and entertainment at an early age as a dancer for Mexico’s National Ballet, followed by her time as lead vocalist for the musical group Las Nenas.

Adamari López — One of the most beloved international stars in Spanish-language television with an extensive and successful career in hit telenovelas, this Emmy Award winner debuted as a host on Telemundo’s morning show, Un Nuevo Día in 2012. She is also a bestselling author and has been recognized as “Person of the Year” by People en Español magazine for her humanitarian efforts.

Andrea Meza — Meza joined Telemundo as an entertainment correspondent after concluding her reign as the 69th Miss Universe titleholder. Since joining the network, she has collaborated on several live specials including the Billboard Latin Music Awards, Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, and her most recent role as cohost of the network’s afternoon show, En Casa con Telemundo.

Lissette “Chiky Bombom” Eduardo — After conquering the hearts of the U.S. Hispanic audience with her participation on Telemundo’s first season of Top Chef VIP, where she made it to the semifinals, the renowned Dominican influencer joins the network’s morning show. She is known for her famous TikTok videos in which she shares inspiring messages of self-esteem and self-improvement.

Throughout the first month of this new stage, Hoy Día will feature special guest cohosts each week, including actors Daniel Arenas (week of December 5), Arturo Carmona (week of December 12) and singer Jerry Bazua (week of December 19).

Under the new format, Hoy Día will have more emphasis on entertainment and fun, without leaving aside the important news of the moment in order to start the day well informed. The content will cover positive and inspiring topics, as well as useful segments targeted to the Hispanic communities across the nation to improve the audience’s daily lives. The program will continue to connect viewers with their favorite stars, cover the latest entertainment news, and offer cooking segments with guest chefs to enjoy the diversity of Latin cuisine, and much more.

Hoy Día airs live Monday through Friday from 7 to 10am/6 to 9C on Telemundo. Viewers can also watch the show via Telemundo.com or on the Telemundo app, which is available in the Google Play Store and Apple App Store.
