Selena Quintanilla’s Widower Chris Perez Was Not Invited to Annual “Fiesta De La Flor” Event

Selena's fam doesn't play.

Every year, Selena fans from around the world get together to celebrate and honor the Tejano Queen’s legacy at the Fiesta de la Flor music festival. This year, Selena’s sister, Suzette Quintanilla Arriaga, shared the news with fans and revealed that the late singer’s Madame Tussauds wax figure will be present.

The Fiesta is partnering with Orange is the New Black actress Jackie Cruz and Jackie Guerra from the Selena movie, who is also participating in a panel. Selena’s widower Chris Perez is the only person missing from the festivities.

After the announcement went up on the official Selena Facebook page, Perez left a comment.

"At this point, it looks like I'm not invited...anymore," Perez wrote. "We'll see though. Stanger things have happened."

It seems as though there’s a bit of beef between Perez and The Quintanillas. Selena’s father Abraham recently sued Perez, after news broke that a TV series around Perez’s book To Selena, With Love was in the works.
