The eagerly anticipated series kicks off in Bolivia, one of the six countries featured in the next season of the Super Series.™ The network also announced that renowned actor, Pêpê Rapazote (Queen of the South, Shameless), joins Del Castillo for this third installment of the most successful Super Series™ in Telemundo's history.
Scheduled to reprise their roles in this upcoming season are Humberto Zurita (La Querida del Centauro, La Reina del Sur), Isabella Sierra (La Reina del Sur 2, 100 Días para Enamorarnos), Kika Edgar (La Reina del Sur 2, Mujeres Asesinas), Alejandro Calva (La Reina del Sur, Señora Acero), Tiago Correa (La Reina del Sur 2, La Casa de las Flores), Eduardo Yáñez (La Reina del Sur 2, Falsa Identidad), Lincoln Palomeque (La Reina del Sur, Señora Acero) Antonio Gil (La Reina del Sur 2), Emmanuel Orenday (La Reina del Sur, Señora Acero), Cuca Escribano (La Reina del Sur), Sara Vidorreta (La Reina del Sur), Ágata Clares (La Reina del Sur) and Dmitry Anisimov (La Reina del Sur).
The stellar cast is completed by Noe Hernandez, Horacio Garcia Rojas, Ed Trucco, Carlos Valencia, Arturo Ríos, Denia Agalianou, Anderley Palomino, Fernando Solorzano and Victor Rebull, among others, with a special participation of Sofia Lama, Matias Novoa and Beth Chamberlin.

The original multi-country production, known for showcasing magnificent landscapes around the world each season, will include legendary sites like the Salar de Uyuni in Bolivia, Machu Picchu in Peru, Argentina's famed glaciers, and Santa Marta in Colombia, among many other spectacular locations throughout Latin America.
Season 3 of “La Reina del Sur” opens four years after the second season with Teresa Mendoza behind bars in the U.S. for the murders of three DEA agents. The series broke all digital viewing records on the Telemundo App, dominating the social media landscape as the #1 Hispanic primetime entertainment series, including Facebook, regardless of language, and ranked as the top-performing Hispanic series on VOD for 2019.
The third season of “La Reina del Sur” is written by Lina Uribe, Darío Vanegas, Tatiana Andrade and Miguel Ferrari, directed by Carlos Bolado, Carlos Villegas and Claudia Pedraza. Marcos Santana is Executive Producer and Showrunner of the series, with Telemundo's Ximena Cantuarias and A.G. Studios' Rodrigo Guerrero as Executive Producers. "La Reina del Sur" Season 3 is a co-production between Telemundo Global Studios and Netflix. Telemundo retains the exclusive rights in the U.S. and Puerto Rico, with Netflix holding the exclusive rights for the rest of the world for OTT.
