Natti Natasha and her fiancé Raphy Pina are expecting their first child together!
The Dominican singer confirmed the rumors of her pregnancy in an interview with ‘People’ where she showed her baby bump for the first time.
"Today I celebrate with you twice. The gift of having fans around the world and the immense blessing that God has granted me to be a mother with a man I love," she wrote along with a series of images in which she shows her baby bump. The photos were taken by photographer Omar Cruz.
"Another proof that women are warriors, and when God says 'yes', there is nothing that stands in the way. The happiness I feel in my heart is priceless," Natti added.
In 2007, the “Antes Que Salga El Sol” singer suffered from cysts in the womb, for which she underwent surgery. She had a fallopian tube removed. Subsequently, the 34-year-old artist was told she needed to do in vitro fertilization to get pregnant.
However, that did not stop Natti from fulfilling her wish of becoming a mother. "The hormones drive you crazy; you don't know whether to laugh, cry. But I didn't care. I was happy because I was doing it," Natti said of the IVF process. "It gave me depression, I didn't want to see anyone, I didn't want to talk to anyone," she told People. "I felt like a total failure as a woman."
About the emotional moment when she found out that she was expecting a baby, the singer recalled that one day, while jet skiing with her fiancé, she felt pain in her back but “kept quiet because I didn't want to hurt anyone on the weekend."
"The next morning, [Raphy] gets a call from the doctor directly. He stands to one side with his cell phone, opens his eyes, and says, 'You're pregnant.'"
After hearing the great news, Raphy Pina and Natti Natasha got engaged.
Congrats to the happy couple!
