JLo's 'In the Morning' Video It’s Full of Symbolism About a Dark One-Sided Relationship

Fans are loving Jennifer Lopez’ new teaser and they're already discribing the clip as the best video ever.

JLo’s new music video for her hit single ‘In The Morning’ is giving her followers the chance to escape, for a moment, to another world.

'In The Morning,’ the song and music video, is a work of art and within its beauty is the abstract visualization of the struggle we face in our everyday lives. In love, in heartache, in chaos and in tragedy.

The song and music video is a symbolic representation of the need for change and growth in relationships, but the acknowledgment that you may only be able to change yourself. The piece opens with Jennifer gracefully yet sinking to the bottom of the ocean. She is then awakened by a small glimmer of hope, represented by a butterfly, where she begins to gain her strength. At that moment, she begins a metamorphosis, transforming into a mermaid rising to the surface then being surrounded by butterflies realizing there’s more growth and evolution to be had. Little by little she starts to grow her own wings transitioning to an angel and then her final form, a dove, free to fly. Within us all there is a butterfly representing hope and the will to move forward. We all have the strength to go through our own metamorphosis as the process starts within.

She also tweeted, "And she loved a boy even more than she loved herself ... I am soooo excited for you to see the official video for #InTheMorning It’s full of symbolism about a dark one-sided relationship and the realization that you can’t change anyone else ... you can only change yourself!"

"If you love me / Say it in the morning / Not just in the evening / Only when you want my body / Want my body," she sings.

The video content  isconceptualized by Jennifer Lopez  and is directed by Jora Frantzis, whose credits include “Medicine” by Jennifer Lopez, “Money” by Cardi B and “A Palé” by Rosalía.
