music festivals are all that and more. the hype is real. the music, the energy, the sweaty bodies jumping to the beat in unison is what dreams are made of. one of the world's biggest music festivals, lollapalooza, takes place every year in the windy city of chicago. in years past, however, the popular fest has spread its wings to south america. this week, they announced the sick lineup in argentina, chile, and brazil. big names are headlining in all three countries, including the weeknd, the xx, the strokes, and metallica, but most excitingly, all three locations are featuring some of south america's best artists right now.
chile's lineup is higihlighting some of their very best. expect to hear the electronic pop sounds of alex anwandter, mariel mariel, the soft and melodic tunes of paz court, and the timeless beats of prehistöricos. oh, and bomba estero is also making an appearance. maybe that bomb little girl will make a cameo during their set?!
argentina and brazil have also got some exciting acts performing. aside from your mainstream artists like flume, the 1975, and tove lo, you can also catch local artists. la yegro and león gieco will take the stage in argentina while jaloo and criolo will play in brazil.
