Jacky Bracamontes and Carlos Ponce to Host 'Miss Universe' on Telemundo

Telemundo, home of Miss Universe® in the U.S., announced Carlos Ponce & Jacky Bracamontes will serve as hosts of the 69th MISS UNIVERSE® competition.

Telemundo, the exclusive broadcast partner and Spanish-language home of Miss Universe® in the U.S., announced renowned personalities Carlos Ponce and Jacky Bracamontes will serve as hosts of the 69th MISS UNIVERSE® competition airing LIVE on Sunday, May 16 at 7pm ET/ 4 PT.

Carlos Adyan and Nastassja “Nas” Bolívar also join the broadcast to bring viewers across the nation all the excitement of the international event where the Latin American representatives shine.

To kick-off the celebration, fans can learn all about this year’s candidates on Telemundo.com/missuniverso, where they will also be able to vote for their favorites in a digital survey* (survey does not influence the official results.)

Telemundo will feature unprecedented multiplatform coverage of all the preliminary events preceding the competition throughout its programming lineup, including the morning show “hoy Día,” “Acceso Total” in local markets, the network programs “En Casa con Telemundo” and “Al Rojo Vivo,” as well as extensive coverage in LatinX Now!, Telemundo.com and social media.

The Hispanic network will also offer a series of special programs and original content as a prelude to the much-anticipated event that will culminate when the current Miss Universe, Zozibini Tunzi of South Africa, crowns her successor.

About the Hosts:

Carlos Ponce, one of the most renowned Hispanic personalities, has achieved great international recognition with successful participations in film, television, and music.

The Puerto Rican-born artist has participated in several Telemundo productions, including starring roles in "La Suerte de Loli," "La Fan," "Silvana Sin Lana," "Dame Chocolate," "Perro Amor" and "Santa Diabla," as well as hosted several editions of Miss Universe® and the "Billboard Latin Music Awards," among others.

His crossover to the general market came as a guest star on "Beverly Hills 90210." Since then, he has participated in popular series like "Hollywood Heights," "Telenovela," "Devious Maids," and films like "Just My Luck," "Chasing Papi," "Deuce Bigalow: European Gigolo" and "Couples Retreat," among others.

Jacky Bracamontes, who represented her native Mexico in the MISS UNIVERSE® competition in 2001, is one of the most important figures in Latin American television. The Mexican star, who recently hosted Telemundo’s “Latin American Music Awards” and stars in the hit primetime series "La Suerte de Loli,” also co-hosted the Miss Universe® broadcast on Telemundo in 2019.

Bracamontes joined the U.S. Hispanic network as host of "Viva el Mundial y Más," a sports and entertainment program that aired during the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia™. She has also co-hosted two seasons of the hit music competition, "La Voz" (The Voice). Throughout her career, she has starred in several successful telenovelas such as “Las Tontas No Van al Cielo,” “Heridas de Amor” and “Sortilegio,” as well as multiple Spanish-language television shows and specials.

Carlos Adyan, co-host of Telemundo’s daytime program "En Casa con Telemundo," is one of the network’s youngest personalities and has served as co-host of numerous red carpets, including the "Latin American Music Awards," "Billboard Latin Music Awards" and "Premios Tu Música Urbano," as well as collaborated on "Suelta La Sopa" and other network shows. Before joining the Hispanic network, the Puerto Rican journalist served as co-host of Miami’s Telemundo 51 "Acceso Total.”

Nastassja “Nas” Bolívar is a TV host, professional model, fashion expert, and two-time beauty queen who has become a popular personality across social media platforms with her ingenuity, great charisma, and passion. The former Miss Nicaragua Universe 2013 won the pageant’s Best National Costume and was also crowned as the 2011 Nuestra Belleza Latina.

She is currently co-host of "Latinx Now!,” a Telemundo multiplatform show for bicultural audiences, collaborates on network programs like "En Casa con Telemundo" and "La Voz,” and has co-hosted red carpets for the “Latin American Music Awards,” “Billboard Latin Music Awards,” and the “Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade,” among others.
