Telemundo announced the full cast of the highly anticipated new season of hit series Falsa Identidad (False Identity), starring Luis Ernesto Franco (Señora Acero, Ingobernable), Camila Sodi (Luis Miguel la Serie, Rubí), Samadhi Zendejas (Mariposa de Barrio, Enemigo Íntimo), Eduardo Yáñez (La Reina del SurS2), Sonya Smith (Mi Familia Perfecta, Tierra de Reyes, Marido en Alquiler) and Azela Robinson (Cuna de Lobos, Por amar sin ley), with a special appearance by Dulce María (Rebelde).
This new season was shot in Mexico City and in the Northern state of Sonora. Also, this season picks up two years after the suspenseful finale of its first installment, which ended with the escape of Diego (Franco) and Isabel (Sodi) with her children to the United States after intense persecution by Mateo (Yáñez).
In this new chapter of the story viewers will find Diego and Isabel, who obtained new identities under the United States Federal Witness Protection Program, trying to start a new life in Nebraska. While this change helped Isabel gainself-confidence to better herself and her family, Diego struggles to adapt to his new identity.
However, this extreme situation in their lives will trigger their return to Mexico and, once again, will force them to face their enemies, unleashing a thrilling pursuit where they will risk it all for justice.
The action-packed drama also features members from the original ensemble including renowned actress Gabriela Roel (Hoy voy a cambiar, Yo no creo en los hombres), Uriel del Toro (Mariposa de Barrio, Al Otro Lado del Muro), Pepe Gámez (Mariposa de Barrio, Dueños del Paraíso) and welcomes Alexa Martín (Un Poquito Tuyo, Rosario Tijeras) Marco de la O (Rambo: Last Blood, El Chapo), Vanessa Acosta (Soñarás) and Rubén Sanz (El Dragón, Rubí), in addition to special performances by Álvaro Guerrero and Otto Sirgo (Enemigo Íntimo).
Additional actors returning to reprise their roles in this new season are Barbie Casillas, Checo Perezcuadra, Gimena Gómez, Claudia Zepeda, Toño Valdés and Rebeca Manríquez. New actors also joining the cast include Sebastián Dante, David Palacio, Arnoldo Picazzo, Victor Olveira, Abril Schreiber, Victor Manuel Reséndiz A.K.A. “Latin Lover,” Vicky Araico, and Miguel Jiménez.
The new season of Falsa Identidad was created by Perla Farías, written by Farías, Basilio Álvarez, Neida Padilla, Verónica Suárez and Felipe Silva, directed by Conrado Martinez, Sergio Osorio and Moisés Ortiz-Urquidi, and produced by Marcos Santapna and David Posada for Telemundo and Epigmenio Ibarra for Argos.
