2019 Miss Universe: Here's Everything You Need to Know

With exactly 18 days to go until MISS UNIVERSE, we have another BIG and EXCITING announcement coming your way.

Telemundo, the official Spanish-language home of Miss Universe in the United States, announced the acclaimed actor Carlos Ponce and renowned actress and hostess Jacky Bracamontes as hosts of the 68th edition of the MISS UNIVERSE Competition.

 The show will air live and exclusively in Spanish from Tyler Perry Studios in Atlanta, Georgia on Sunday Dec. 8 at 7pm/6C.

The live simulcast will bring together 90 representatives from countries and territories around the world. Telemundo will present the following original programming throughout the day:

• The celebration kicks off at 3 pm/2C with “Suelta la Sopa Edición Especial: Rumbo a la Corona” (Suelta La Sopa Special Edition: En Route to the Crown), a two-hour special program highlighting the preparations leading up to the pageant in which experts will offer details on the contestants from Latin countries, including Spain and Brazil, as well as this year’s jurors, the preliminary events and the famous National Costume show, among others.

• “Celebrando Nuestras Reinas” (Celebrating Our Queens), a celebration of Latin American countries that serves as a prelude to the pageant introducing the Latina contestants who will compete this year, will air live at 6pm/5C. Viewers will be able to enjoy folk dances from around Latin America, as well as get to know the Latina contestants through interviews and special reports highlighting their human qualities, beauty and how they are influencing women today. “Celebrando Nuestras Reinas” will also feature live coverage from the competition headquarters, as well as reactions from the Latina contestants’ families and fans.

• Immediately after the new queen is crowned, Telemundo will present "Celebrando La Corona" (Celebrating the Crown) at 10pm/9C. The live special program will offer an in-depth analysis of the renowned international pageant, as well as showcase the first images of the new queen and reactions from her fans and those at the celebration.

Telemundo is the exclusive Spanish-language home of MISS UNIVERSE® in the U.S., and will also feature complete coverage of all the preliminary events preceding the competition on “Un Nuevo Día,” “Noticias Mediodía,” “Suelta La Sopa,” “Al Rojo Vivo,” “Titulares y Más” and the local “Acceso Total” and newscasts.

Fans will also be able to enjoy behind-the-scenes interviews and experience the excitement backstage from the international event, with special emphasis on the Latina delegates Via Telemundo’s digital platforms, including Telemundo.com/missuniverso, and the network’s official social media accounts on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter via @Telemundo.
