Ariana Grande Bought Lunch For Arianators After Canceling Her Kentucky Show

Ariana Grande felt really terrible about having to cancel her show in Kentucky, after informing fans that she was in "a lot of pain."

Ariana Grande felt really terrible about having to cancel her show on Sunday night (Nov. 17) at Rupp Arena in Lexington, Kentucky, after informing fans that she was in "a lot of pain" due to a serious sinus condition. But according to fan accounts and the Lexington Herald-Leader, she found a very sweet way to (kind of) make it up to them.

After the show was scotched, the paper said some fans decided to meet up at Rupp Arena anyway and Ariana reached out to ask what she could to help them. “So we all met up at Rupp Arena, took a bunch of pictures, laughed, talked, basically made a sad situation into a happier one,” Donald Sneed, who helps to run a Grande fan Twitter feed, told the paper.

The show was canceled seven hours before curtain, so the group of 40 fans from all over the country who gathered at Rupp went to a restaurant next to the arena, where Grande picked up the bill. On Saturday, Grande told fans, "I’m just in a lot of pain and it’s difficult to breathe during the show. I just really don’t know what’s happening with my body right now and need to figure it out.” The singer's next scheduled date on the Sweetener tour is on Tuesday night (Nov. 19) at State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia; at press time a spokesperson for Grande could not be reached for comment for confirmation about the status of the ATL show.
