The Latin Recording Academy unveiled the nominees for the 2019 Latin Grammys Awards. Meet the 10 artists up for Best New Artist.

The Latin Recording Academy unveiled the nominees for the 2019 Latin Grammys Awards on Tuesday morning (Sept. 24), naming Alejandro Sanz this year’s most-nominated artist with eight mentions. He’s followed by Spanish singer Rosalía, who has five nods, including record of the year and album of the year.

One of the most exciting categories is best new artist, which in 2018 was nabbed by Colombian urban artist Karol G. This year, 10 artists are up for the golden record, including Colombian pop star Greeicy, Argentine trap artist Paulo Londra and Nella, a Venezuelan jazz singer from Berklee College of Music, among others.

Nominations for the Latin Grammys were selected from approximately 15,500 submissions across 50 categories of recordings released during the eligibility period (June 1, 2018 through May 31, 2019).

The 2019 Latin Grammys will take place Nov. 14 from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.
