Jennifer Lopez Went to This Person to Get the Secret to a Happy Marriage

Jennifer Lopez recently asked US Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, for marriage advice.

Jennifer Lopez recently asked US Supreme Court Justice,Ruth Bader Ginsburg, for marriage advice. The "Notorious RBG," who was married to her husband, Marty, for more than 50 years before his passing in 2010, revealed that Lopez reached out to her and wanted her to meet ARod.

"I was called up about a month or so ago by Jennifer Lopez, and she said she would like to meet me and introduce her fiancé Alex Rodriguez," the 86-year-old judge told the crowd at a discussion panel during the Library of Congress National Book Festival on Saturday

The meeting eventually happened, and J.Lo asked if Ruth had "any secret about a happy marriage." Ginsburg offered shared the advice her mother-in-law once gave her. "On the day I was married, my mother-in-law - I was married at her home - she took me aside and said she wanted to tell me what was the secret of a happy marriage," Ruth continued. "And I said, 'I'd be glad to hear it. What is it?' And she responded, 'It helps, sometimes, to be a little deaf.'"

While Jennifer loved her tip, she expressed on Instagram that what she really loved was the answer to her question about the division in the country.

"I loved her advice for a happy marriage, but my favorite response of hers was to a question I asked about the country seeming so broken right now and divided, and that it’s sad to me, and what should Alex and I be doing... how can we help? And she said, “Keep doing what you’re doing, inspiring people and living by example. You must continue to change the world with your respective gifts,'” J.Lo captioned her post.

Lopez and Rodriguez got engaged in March, and in her "Making The It's My Party Tour: Showtime!" YouTube video, the Latina opened up about her relationship with the former baseball player. "Now it's been three years now," she said. And when asked when her wedding might be taking place, the singer answered, "soon, not soon-soon but next year."
