Maluma Talks Madonna Collaboration, Performs 'HP' on 'Fallon': Watch

Maluma was the musical guest on "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," where he performed the new release “HP” with his full band.

It's been a wild couple months for Maluma.

With a new album in the pipeline, the Colombian singer and songwriter got the call of a lifetime when Madonna invited him to assist on her Madame X single “Medellín,” which the pair performed at the Billboard Music Awards. Oh, and he also went under the knife, hung out with Taylor Swift, announced a tour of the Americas. It's been busy.

On Tuesday night, Maluma was the musical guest on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, where he performed the new release “HP” with his full band, just days out from his fourth album release. Watch below.

Earlier in the show, the 25-year-old artist sat for a chat with Fallon about his BBMAs appearance with the Queen of Pop and her holograms.

For the one-off routine, Maluma had to over-prepare and learn every single one of Madonna’s steps. “That was crazy,” he explained. “It was like, one week of doing rehearsals.” But he cherished his time with her on stage. "She’s amazing. I love her so much."

Maluma also recounted his first meeting with Madonna in the studio (“she’s a perfectionist”), talked his recovery from knee surgery, touring plans, and he brazenly asked Fallon to team him up with Justin Timberlake

At age 23, the Latin star became the sixth act -- and the youngest ever -- to concurrently hold the No. 1 and No. 2 spots on the Latin Airplay chart with "Sin contrato" and "Chantaje."

“HP” is lifted from Maluma’s new studio 11:11, which features collabs with Madonna, Ricky MartinTy Dolla $ign and others, and is due out on Friday (May 17).
