Time magazine's "100 Most Influential People" list was revealed today (April 17), and, as in past years, some of the biggest musical artists in the world were recognized for their impact.

BTSOzunaKhalid, and Ariana Grande are among the musicians dubbed Time's "artists" of the year, while Taylor Swift and Lady Gaga are named as "icons" for 2019.

As in past years, each star is featured alongside a touching blurb written by those around them about their widespread influence.

Troye Sivan was responsible for reflecting on Grande, sharing his thoughts about “the most real person” he’s ever met. “I’ve always thought the world is privy to actual, genuine emotion—be it heartbreak, empathy, generosity, resilience, strength—and I believe that’s exactly why the world keeps falling deeper in love with Ariana,” he writes. “Wearing her heart on her sleeve and in her work, she oozes those emotions in abundance...having released not one but two critically acclaimed, record-breaking albums just a few months apart—the latter, Thank U, Next, was written in just a few weeks -- Ari is breaking the rules and is a force who understands how music should work in 2019.”
