Miss Universe 2017 ended without any envelope mishaps (thank Baby Jesus!) and Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters is officially the world's most beautiful woman.

Get To Know The Latina Contestants at Miss Universe 2017

Demi-Leigh is 22 years old. When she was younger, she was a victim of a kidnap attempt which prompted her to launch a campaign to empower and teach women self-defense.

Second place was Miss Colombia, Laura Gonzalez, third place was Maria Poonlertlarp from Thailand, fourth place was Keysi Sayago from Venezuela and fifth place was Davina Bennett from Jamaica.

The Miss Universe pageant took place at The Axis at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas. The winner was chosen out of 92 participants by Wendy Fitzwilliam, Ross Mathews, Jay Manuel, Lele Pons, Pia Wurtzbach and Megan Olivi.
