Franco left behind two suicide notes: one for a girl named Claudia, telling her he loved her and that he wished her the best. On the second note, he left behind instructions and the names of people that each had an audio file on his computer. These were the people who might have prompted him to commit suicide, similar to what happened to the character of Hannah Baker.

Even though there is no legitimate proof that Franco took inspiration directly from "13 Reasons Why", the way he committed suicide and planned the tapes seems eerily similar to the popular series.
