After winning six out of nine nominations at the 2017 Latin Billboard Music awards, it’s safe to say that Nicky Jam is at the peak of his career. However, that’s not including one minor detail that could have made his success that much greater.
During an interview with Telemundo’s Un Nuevo Día, the reggaeton singer revealed that Luis Fonsi had originally chosen him to be featured on “Despacito” before Daddy Yankee came on board. Can you imagine?
"’Despacito’ was with me," Nicky admitted. "It was with me, but it wasn’t possible because of the times, and my song was about to come out. But that doesn’t matter, those are my brothers."
