While Donald Trump was channeling his inner Janet Jackson last night, America Ferrera was breaking it down on Lip Sync Battle.
The “The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants” star battled best friend and traveling pants sister, Amber Tamblyn, for the Lip Sync trophy.
The night began with Ferrera performing Missy Elliot's "Gossip Folks" while Tamblyn channeled her inner Alanis Morissette in "You Oughtta Know." They spit lyrics, they threw beats, and they dropped mics, but this was only a prelude, a warmup for round two.
America Ferrera brought out her best emoji/Gloria Estefan look for the second round. She sang the "Conga" with all the rhythm of the island and backup salsa dancers for days while sporting the little dancing emoji red dress. Literally. It was perfection.
Tamblyn, on the other hand, opted to mix politics with pleasure by performing Color Me Badd’s “I Wanna Sex You Up.” The best part? She donned a Donald Trump getup, which was quite fitting for the performance. She also had "Make America Great Again" signs decorating the stage with you guessed it, America Ferrera's face substituting the word "America."
