LOS ANGELES (AP) — "Birdman", de Alejandro González Iñárritu, encabezó el martes la lista de nominados a los premios Independent Spirit con 6 candidaturas que incluyen mejor director y mejor actor, para Michael Keaton.
También consiguieron nominaciones el director de cinematografía mexicano del filme, Emmanuel Lubezki, y los actores de reparto Emma Stone y Edward Norton.
El drama sobre el paso a la madurez "Boyhood", la cinta biográfica sobre Martin Luther King Jr. "Selma" y el thriller "Nightcrawler" obtuvieron cinco postulaciones cada uno.
Entre otras cintas reconocidas en la categoría de mejor película están "Whiplash" y "Love is Strange".
Rosario Dawson y Diego Luna anunciaron los candidatos a la 30 entrega anual de premios, seleccionados por miembros de Film Independent.
Los ganadores se darán a conocer en una ceremonia el 21 de febrero que se transmitirá en vivo por IFC desde Santa Mónica, California.
