Gael García Bernal, Natalia LaFourcade, and Miguel perform “Remember Me” at the 2018 Oscars
“Coco” took Best Animated Picture at the 90th annual Academy Awards!
But before that joyous moment, Gael García Bernal took center stage accompanied only by an acoustic guitar to perform “Remember Me”, the main theme of the movie and also winner of Best Original Song.

Soon enough Gael’s brief stint opened the curtain for a show nearly as colorful as movie itself. Then we got a duet by Natalia LaFourcade and Miguel, who made their way among the many dancers, and under the bright neon lights, performed the rest of the song with grace.
The story in “Coco” introduces us to a 12-year-old Mexican boy who ends up trapped in the land of the dead and must call to his deceased grandfather to help him.
