JoJo just gave us the feels this week when she paid tribute to the Queen of Tejano music, Selena, during a performance in the Queen's home state of Texas.
The "Mad Love" singer held a concert Monday night in Corpus Christi, Texas, the town where Selena Quintanilla passed away. She knew exactly where she was and decided to give the audince an extra treat by playing an acoustic version of "Dreaming of You." Naturally, the crowd went wild with emotion.
Before the show, she stopped by the Mirador de la Flor, which is the monument made in honor of the late singer. She took a picture with the mosaic as well as Selena's statue.
According to Tejano Nation, moments before the audience was about to experience a major goosebump-inducing moment, JoJo told the crowd how much performing in the town meant to her. “I had the pleasure of seeing the Selena statue, paying respect, and I’m just reminded of the amazing, amazing contribution she made to music and how her spirit is still with us today, she said. "I just wanted to pay homage and do ‘Dreaming Of You’ tonight. I hope I do it justice, she continued right before she sang the Queen's hit song.
