after seven years, wyclef jean is finally releasing new music. this is literally ~music~ to our ears. his new ep, j'ouvert, is slated to release on september 30th. until then, he's been treating us with singles that satisfy our wyclef craving.
the latest single is especially catchy. titled "hendrix," the new track fuses both spanish and english verses together with the help of farina, anonimus, and bryant myers. the end reseult is a different kind of sound. a spanglish sound that interweaves two languages and two cultures for what's a definite dance anthem. plus, it's got a lyric video. so no need to open up another tab for genius.
