The British beauty queen jets off to Miami for Miss Universe competition

Grace Levy is ready to heat things up in Miami and take part in the world’s biggest beauty pageant.

BEAUTY queen Grace Levy is preparing to take part in the world’s biggest beauty pageant.

The 25-year-old won the title of Miss Universe Great Britain last summer.

Now Grace, from Titchfield, will be travelling to Miami tomorrow compete in the contest with the final on January 25.

The former Crofton School student got hooked on pageants at the Titchfield Carnival.

She said: ‘When I was seven my mum used to enter me into the carnival princess competition. It all stemmed from there.’

Since then Grace has been competing all around the country.

‘It’s been a long journey and I just can’t believe that I made it,’ she said.

‘It’s an absolute honour to be representing Great Britain.’

She said the hardest thing about preparing was staying in shape, especially over the festive period.

‘I have been so good that I decided to have a cheat meal on Christmas day, but that’s as far as it got for me.’

The winner receives $100,000 and will move to Trump Towers in New York to work with the Miss Universe organisation.

‘The thing I’m most looking forward to is meeting all the girls,’ she said. ‘I’m going to be with 90 other girls so it’s going to be like a big hen party.’
